Not only does Lord of the fries have a cheeky little pun in their name. They pride themselves on being an ethical fast food brand. They serve up a wide array of burgers, hot dogs, chips, and shakes. Which are vegetarian and/or vegan. Plus their veggie chicken nuggets taste amazing.
Giapo Kitchen
If you’re looking for a delicious and Instagram worthy treat Giapo won’t disappoint. Usually an ice cream place would be the last place to get a vegan snack. But Giapo accommodates to a range of different dietary needs. Their vegan cookie chocolate chip ice cream tastes and looks amazing. Plus they’re always working on new flavours and ideas.
The Unbakery (Little Bird Organics)
This cute Ponsonby cafe specializes in all foods raw and clean. They have a wide variety of vegan, vegetarian, paleo, and gluten free options. Little Bird Organics also owns Little Bird Unbakery in Kingsland.
Tart Bakery
A bakery in Grey Lynn is filled with baked goods that all are vegan. Great if you’re on the go and need to grab a quick snack. Their mushroom pie is a wonderful comfort food. They even have cronuts. It’s basically vegan taste bud heaven.

In the heart of Mt Eden is The garden Shed. It’s a beautiful garden setting nestled away. They offer a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options and are super accommodating. Plus they have some really good craft beers, or ginger beers for non-drinkers.

This Herne Bay cafe is the perfect place for lazy weekend brunches. Their menu is extensive and has some unique creations on it.

If you want to travel further afield Street Organics in Takapuna is worth the trip. They specialize in vegan dishes and have a large and innovative menu. As well as doing a menu and cabinet food they sell some take home meals that you can freeze for later. They also hold Vegan high teas, which look like a lot of fun.
